The long stay at home of teachers, students and many other education stakeholders due to the outbreak of Coronavirus in the country has seen massive events happening in learning institutions across the country. Some teachers have passed away while others surpassed their legal retirement ages.
The teachers service commission seems to be readying for the re-opening of schools should the ministry of education in collaboration with their health counterparts approve the same. The commission is said to have transferred a number of secondary school heads to fill the existing gaps.
Madam Evelyn Nabukwesi of Eregi girls high school in Vihiga County is said to have been moved to Nairobi to take over from her retiring colleague, Madam Muoti at state house girls secondary school.
In kirinyaga County, Mr Kuria of Baricho Boys high school is said to have been transferred to Kiambu County in a move that will see him take over the leadership of Mang’u Boys High SCHOOL. This is after the current principal at the school, Mr Gichuka goes home on retirement.
Mr James Githu of Kirwara Boys high school in Gatanga, Murang’a County heads to Thika town to replace the former Chania Boys high school principal, who passed away earlier on in the year during the Coronavirus pandemic.
After steering Kiruri Boys school to become the best class C category boys school in kangema subcounty, the tsc is said to have done an intra County platform, Mr Kung’u of Kiruri Boys High school is expected to land at Makuyu Boys secondary school within the same county.
Elsewhere, Charles Kinyua of Leshau Boys high school heads to Murang’a County to take over the leadership of Gaichanjiru Boys secondary school located in the rural areas of Murang’a County next to the Arbadares forest.
If the reports available on media platforms are factual, then the Endarasha boys secondary school principal in Nyandarwa County will be headed to Kirinyaga County to take over the role of the outgoing principal, Mr Kuria.
