From the time Covid-19 pandemic was first reported in Kenya, everyone has been struggling to adjust to living a new normal. Life has become extremely hard for parents, be it buying food for the family, getting any kind of medication, to paying school fees.
For those students for did their KCPE 2020, the time frame that had been allowed to join form one in July was quite friendly.
That the parents would have been able to turn around and come July, send these children to their respective schools with minimal strains.
This was well with everyone bearing in mind that had the students been placed in the respective schools as earlier suggested, the parents would have had a whole two months to prepare for the their admission.
This may not be the case after all since this placement has been postponed until mid June. This will mean parents have a short period to collect themselves together and have the students admitted in form one by July.
Students on their part were anxious to know if they will join their dream schools. This long wait can make them loose patience. However, they will wait until the placement is done.
