Excelling in KCPE does not mean excelling in KCSE examination. The top performers in KCPE 2020 examination fail to secure top positions in 2020 KCSE. Top performers in 2016 KCPE examination shows only one candidate who managed to be position 6 in 2020 KCSE.

Kipkoech Mark Kogo remains the last man standing in 2020 KCSE managed to secure the sixth position nationally. Kipkoech had sat for his KCPE at Making Primary school where he got 421 marks and was ranked position 31 nationally.

Victor Odour was the top student after getting 437 marks from Daisy special school in Kakamega; he joined Starehe Boys centre . After the analysis, this student did not feature in the top 100 candidates this year.

Reboi Kevin (436) was the second in the 2016 KCPE examination. The third was Samuel Monyanchas (435), Ogongo Titus and Gitonga Caroline (436) tied fourth position.
