Despite loosing the school Principal recently, St. Joseph’s Boys Kitale has managed to post good performance in the 2020 KCSE exam.

According to Yego’s family, the deceased passed some weeks to KCSE at the Mediheal Hospital in Eldoret where he was receiving treatment for Covid-19.

Yego previously served as Principal at St. Patrick’s Boys Iten before his transfer to St. Joseph’s Boys Kitale in 2017, a reshuffle that affected 557 school heads.

However the school managed to put this behind them and post a mean of 8.684 an improvement from 7.931 in 2019. The school managed to register 6 Plain As and 96 A minuses. It also recorded 116 A, 99 B, 90 B- 82 C+ and 54 C.

St. Joseph is known to have the highest candidature over the years nationally. In last year though they only managed 565 of which 489 managed direct entry to University. This represent 86 percent University entry.
