From Anonymous source schools with less than 180 learners might face closure in the future. This will only come to happen if the petition before the parliament will be passed. This school have been receiving government funding and have been unable to deliberate subordinate staff, BOM teacher,s and even fund various school operations.

The Ministry of Education has now found it difficult to support such schools. This has been seen as a waste of resources. It’s also clear that the government is almost putting this into practice by directing KNEC to ensure that each registered KCPE and KCSE examination center has above 40 candidates.

The advice from KNEC concerning the 2022 KCPE and KCSE examination centers is that schools with less than 40 students should merge with the populated schools. It is suspected that such schools will lose invigilation and supervision contracts. The amalgamation of the school will also not be a bad idea. Teachers working in small schools will soon join schools of their dreams.
