Teachers Service Commission has advertised 2000 slots to be filled by interns. These will be part of the 6000 interns that will start service from January 2022 to December 2022. The 6000 Include those who were serving on year 2021 and will be renewing their contract.

The following are guidelines for recruiting exercise.

1. After the closure of the advert, the County Directors will be required to invite the applicants by specifying date, venue and time of the interviews. This followed by verification of documents done at TSC sub-county office.

2. Arising from decentralization of teacher recruitment, you are required to conduct the process of selection, appointment and posting of teacher interns (including verifying the authenticity of their academic & professional certificates).

3. The current recruitment guidelines for 2021/2022 financial year apply as well as guidelines for teacher internship will be used.

4. Once selected, the Intern shall sign an Internship Agreement with the Commission using a prescribed format.After which will remain with a copy.

Teachers who serve on internship program are not directly absorbed to permanent and pensionable terms, but it makes them gain experience in teaching and also add 30 marks to interview score
