The Ministry of Education has always been committed to ensure that all the students in Kenya get quality education.

Currently all the students are in their second term and they will be expected to close their schools on 23rd December 2021. Since the ministry has not issued any circular stating otherwise, we therefore stick to this date.

Speculations have been circulated online that schools might close on 17th Dec 2021. However, the ministry of Education has maintained that all schools will close as early planned.

But due to transport logistics and other students more especially from National schools may be travelling to far flung areas and this being a festive season, the National schools and other many schools may be closed earlier than 23rd to pave way for these students get home earlier.

Chances are schools may begin to close on 19th December and the last school will be expected to close on 23rd December 2021.

The students will proceed to a one week holiday that will be full of festivities including Christmas, Boxing and also the new year festivities.

The students will resume back to their schools on 3rd of January 2022. A term that will witness national examinations.

The Kenya Certificate of Primary Education will begin on 3rd of March 2022 and also the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education will begin on 11th March 2022 and end on 1st April 2022.

All the students who will be sitting for the examination are advised to prepare well in advance so that they can be able to pass their examination.
