Ministry of Education Intervenes For Payment of KNEC Contracted Professionals

The Ministry of Education is mandated to coordinate all the support services of Ministry of Education, Science and Technology.

Therefore the specific roles include, coordinating and general administration of the state departments and it’s various support departments. Coordinate parliamentary business and statutory reports. Also handling complaints and petitions on the Ministry of Education.

Supervision of the accounts section to ensure the application of sound principles, system and techniques and procedures pertaining to stock control, procurement, custody, verification and disposal of obsolete, redundant and unserviceable store. Supervision of the human resource management division.

Therefore it has been a long time since the 2020 KCSE examinations was manned, supervised, invigilated and marked by the contracted professionals, these contracted professionals have not yet been paid their dues.

To make the matters worse, so far the KNEC have remained dump about the payment of these dues. However, the Ministry of Education broke silent about the same.

According to report shared by the Ministry of Education through Twitter, it requested the KNEC to pay the contracted professionals their dues.
