The Ministry of Education has been on the spotlight from parents on the way some top officials are handling the sensitive document. It has also been accused for trying to bring new changes in academic calendar to cater for the looming double intake. Such changes have been of diverse effects to parents who have been suffering since the corona virus pandemic.

In the new directive sent to headteachers from Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha, the ministry has called on tutors to send home all students who have not cleared their fee on time. He also noted that some parents were taking advantage of the situation and not wanting to cooperate with the school administrators.

This directive have been strongly condemn by leaders from different political divides as they call on the CS to be considerate to the parents.

Led by nominated senator Millicent Omanga, they have said sending children home is an abuse to suffering parents and truely depict how jubilee government doesn’t care for the common mwanainchi.
