Today in an address by the education cabinet secretary Magoha, addressed several factors in the education system. He raised his concern on the preparedness of various institutions reopening noting that most Universities aren’t ready to reopen. However, he urged Universities to continue offering online and virtual examinations and graduations.

Cabinet Secretary Magoha urged Multiagency teams to map out country to ensure teachers offer community service lessons on values to learners under an arrangement similar to the Nyumba Kumi framework. TSC to issue guidelines on the new plan that will come at no cost to parents. It will be a relief to many boards of management teachers after several months of no payment.

Back to the Board of management teachers, Magoha noted that the government has already set aside funds to pay salaries to the board of Government teachers. Also catered for in the allocated funds are utilities and payment to security staff in various institutions.
