The body authorized to place form four leavers into colleges and universities, the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service has broken it’s silence over claims of increasing the minimum cut off points for direct entry into public universities.

Earlier, allegations arose stating that the body had decided to increase the minimum entry from C+ of 46 points to a B of 60 points for males and a B- of 58 points for females. Earlier information alleged that the decision was arrived at to reduce overcrowding in both public and private Universities.

Clearing the claims on twitter, KUCCPS termed the information as fake aimed at misleading Kenyans. The cut off points for direct entry into the university still stands at 46 points following the announcement and will remain to be until ‘official changes are made’ by the ministry.

KUCCPS has also communicated that revision of courses for first time applicants will be opened immediately KCSE 2020 results are uploaded into their systems.
