More than 3800 Diploma teachers in Kenya received good news from Teacher Service commission inviting them for interviews in their respective counties scheduled to start on 24th, May 2021. Diploma teachers in Secondary schools will be competing for a chance to get promoted in the 1000 advertised promotion posts by Teacher Service Commission (TSC).

Most of the counties in the country by today have invited the Diploma teachers who had applied for the promotion which is to commence next week. The exercise was to be carried in march but was postponed because Kenya National Examination council invited them for marking of examinations.

Teachers who will be attending the interviews are required to collect their invitation letters from the County Directors of education TSC in their respective counties. 0 the Diploma teachers will be happy for this exercise. This is because they have stagnated in the same job group for over seven years as compared to their colleagues with Bachelor’s degree in education.

The Teacher Service Commission released circulars to the regional county directors TSC through the TSC staffing director Madam Wahome Rita indicating the whole exercise will begin next week on 24th May up to 28th May,2021.

Therefore this calls for preparedness for those who have been invited for those interviews.
